It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope.

The funds I raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.

Why we are doing this

Almost a year ago a friend of mine and her husband had been given the devastating news that he had pancreatic cancer and that treatment wouldn't really make a difference.

She then decided that she wanted to climb up roseberry topping, when mentioned at the slimming world group we attend it was met with a lot of enthusiasm of us all doing it together.

Fast forward a week and I stumbled across this event for pancreatic cancer, incidentally the same cancer John had so we decided to complete the walk not only to help save other families from going through the same heartache but also in celebration of johns life with him in our hearts pushing us on to the top but also to show Debbie that she is never alone.
