I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK

I’m taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. 

The funds I raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.

Your kind donation will have the power to make that possible.

My Dad’s journey

November 2020 - my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
February 2021 - he had an operation to remove the cancer
He then completed around a year of chemo and then was able to have a year off of treatment. He started chemo again and it didn’t agree with him so made a decision to stop. 
February 2023 - he had a leg amputation
July 2023 - completed his third ‘big step forward’ with his new prosthetic leg 
February 2024 - received the news that his cancer had spread
13th March 2024 - his body couldn’t take any more 🪽
July 2024 - we completed our fourth ‘big step forward’ - this time in his memory. 
Through all of this, my Dad never complained or felt sorry for himself. He was the most positive man I will ever know and he fought so hard until the very end. I am honoured to be able to keep raising money for this incredible charity as he did. I miss him every hour of every day and I will forever be proud to call him Dad 💜
