I’m taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope.
The funds I raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.

Grandmas Jill
On Saturday 13th July 2024 (one week from today), myself and my family will be taking part in The Big Step Forward to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. I will be joining in with the walk in Cyprus. In 2011, at only 66 years old we lost my gorgeous, one of a kind Grandma to the horrible disease that is Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer is a cruel disease with more than half of people diagnosed dying within three months. Despite being the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK, Pancreatic Cancer receives around only 1% of National Cancer Research spend. Grandma Jill was taken from us far too early and we miss her dearly every single day. Grandma Jill was the kindest soul, putting everyone before herself always. We hope that by taking part in The Big Step Forward we can be part of fundraising that increases the survival rate of Pancreatic Cancer, and also honour the memory of our gorgeous Grandma❤️ I know times are tough but any donations/sharing this post are massively appreciated.
