Chemo start date..

Today Mum had an appointment in Bath to have her porta cath inserted ready for chemo to start on 28th June.. 

Chemo Update

So after having 3 lots of surgery just under 8 weeks ago, the next step is chemo. This will start in the next 3-4 weeks and will be done in 2 weekly cycles, for 6 months! She will have a port fitted, and then return the following week for the chemo to start. She will be having Folfirinox, which is a very aggressive type of chemo. There are no guarantees the cancer will not  return but this is her best option for now. 

The next 7 months will be a challenge but she will smash it, as always. 

Hairs cut short and coloured bright ready for the chemo to start.. 

We are fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK

We’re taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. 

The funds we raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.
