We’re taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. 

The funds we raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.

In memory of the legend that was our Dad.

We're a bit late in joining the event, as it's happening next Saturday! However when we saw the advert we knew we needed to do our bit. Our aim is to raise much needed awareness of this illness and hopefully some funds along the way to assist research. Prior to Dads passing, we had no idea how aggressive and quick in deterioration this cancer could be.
 Like the legend that he was, Dad was heroic throughout those short weeks, and will always remain the strongest, positive, witty, faith abiding man I've had the pleasure of loving. 
We are making the 'step forward' as a family, all of Dads girls and grandchildren out in force. Family events still feel strange without him taking charge and running the show and Saturday will be no different. But we're walking for him,  and the countless other people who are currently on this journey. Let's make a difference.
