I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK

I am taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. But there is hope. 

The funds I raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.

My 3rd year

This will be my 3rd year of taking part in this event.

I started as I had seen an advert for it of facebook only a month after my mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so it made sense to me to help raise money and awareness for a charity that is close to my heart.

Since the 1st year my mum lost her battle just 2 months before my 2nd walk so I decided that I would walk again in her memory.

I have now just over a year on decided to walk again in her memory and every year until I physically cannot do it anymore.
