I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK
2 years ago we lost my lovely mum Yvonne Corr to Pancreatic cancer. Although we got a year with her after her diagnosis, it was hard. I've uploaded some photos - there's only 4 weeks between the final 2 photosof her. Pancreatic cancer hits hard. And it hits fast.
So thats why I (and my dog Bowser) are taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. But there is hope.
The funds I raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.
