I’m fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of my Dad
I am taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer and to honour my father's memory.
Dad passed away less than a fortnight after diagnosis. It's unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. But there is hope.
The funds I raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care. I am so excited about the possiblity of transforming the landscape for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, in an effort to spot this disease earlier and afford better outcomes.
We must and can and shall do better for all those affected by this disease. The money you donate will have the power to make that possible. Thank you.
