We are taking part in The Big Step Forward to transform the future for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers. Sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. But there is hope.
The funds we raise will enable Pancreatic Cancer UK’s nurses to continue to be there for those affected by pancreatic cancer now and fund research to detect early, treat better and transform care.

Striding for Survival
Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rates of any common cancer. 10 year survival rates sit at just 1% and half of those diagnosed die within 3 months. It's also projected to become the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the UK by 2026. It rarely has symptoms until the disease has spread throughout the body, making it so important to develop a test to detect it earlier so patients have a chance at survival and quality of life. Research funding has had huge improvements in other hard-to-treat cancers such as lung, esophageal and bowel cancer and we hope that money raised can aid similar advancements so that people can stop losing loved ones to this awful illness.Thank you to my Sponsors
